Help Italy to be beautiful again! Money raising for Italian earthquake victims

We couldn’t remain indifferent in front of the big earthquake that tonight destroyed Amatrice and some others central Italy villages.

Our people needs our support now.

My brother in law, the famous climber Simone Moro, and my husband Marcello Moro have a charity foundation here in U.S., VERTICAL FOUNDATION. We raised money for Nepal earthquake, we rescued people by helicopter during that huge tragedy, now is our own country, our beautiful Italy, who is suffering and mourning.

We know Americans love Italy, the food, the wines, the people. We ask you, American friends, to donate money to help our people to rebuild villages, houses, churches, restaurants, wineries… To give them hope to rise again

I will personally travel to Italy in October and give the check with the amount we will achieve in the hands of the local charity associations and parishes. This assures you that not even one penny of your donation will be used for associations or institutions expenses, but will go directly and entirely to support those people.  I will publish here a reportage to let you see what your generosity will help them do. THANK YOU! GRAZIE DI CUORE!

Moscato d’Asti Docg: prejudices at home, success in the U.S., the search for quality

Moscato is one of the most "bullied" grape varieties at home, in Italy, and one of the most exported in the world, especially in the States where the most appreciated version is the low-alcohol, sugary and effervescent one typical of the Asti area. It was there that I recently went to discover the history of this wine often associated with festive moments, but unjustly subject to the prejudice of being a wine suitable only for those who are not very wine-knowledgeable or experienced. The reality is quite different, especially thanks to the investments made by producers and the Consortium, which in recent years have focused on quality and on clarifying styles by distinguishing between the Moscato d'Asti Docg and Asti Docg appellations, sparkling, dry and sweet versions.

Wine is more than natural: the creative genius of Hans Terzer and the new Appius

Wine is the result of the magical combination of many elements: nature, vine, terroir, but there is a factor which is too often considered as secondary, in particular in this latest fashion of "natural" wines.
